Our 2010 conference is located on the island of Oahu, a glamorous outdoor paradise that melds seamlessly with urban attractions. Waikiki – Visit this world-famous Hawaiian city to enjoy local cuisine, shopping and entertainment. Grab your surfboard and head to Waikiki or Kuhio beach for a lesson on how to hang ten.
North Shore – This seven-mile stretch of sand – where the waves can swell to 30 feet or more – has hosted many professional surfing competitions. Watch how the experts ride the waves or enjoy swimming and sunbathing at a more leisurely pace.
Pearl Harbor – Pay tribute to the lives that were lost in the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Visit multiple historic sites – including the USS Arizona Memorial and Battleship Missouri Memorial – to learn more about the events of World War II.
Diamond Head State Monument – Hike to the peak of this 760-foot crater to absorb breathtaking panoramic views of Oahu. This National Natural Landmark takes visitors through old military bunkers and underground tunnels to reach the top – an ideal spot for souvenir photographs.
Waimea Valley Center – Journey through the lush rainforests and world-famous botanical gardens of this rare natural ecosystem. Along the way, keep your eyes peeled for unusual native animals and nearly 5,000 species of plants. End your hike with a refreshing swim in the waters around Waihi Falls.
