There are currently more than 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer's disease, the sixth leading cause of death in the U.S. Walk with a purpose: show your support for Alzheimer's by participating in Walk to End Alzheimer's, the Alzheimer's Association's largest event to raise awareness and funds for local programs and services and to fund national research. Mayoral Proclamation
At this year's Candelight Reflections held November 12 on the south steps of the Capitol building, the city's first Mayoral Proclamation recognizing November as Alzheimer's Disease Awareness Month was read by Commissioner Bryan Beatty.
