Anesthesiology PIA Symposium: Perioperative Management of Cognition, a preconference held on Saturday, July 13 from 8 a.m.-3:45 p.m., will focus on the role of anesthesiologists in the early diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and anesthesia in the progression of Alzheimer’s disease. The symposium is presented by the ISTAART Anesthesiology and Alzheimer’s Professional Interest Area.
Target audience
- Professionals involved in the care of patients or the conduct of research investigating cognitive change associated with ageing, including but not limited to, clinicians, researchers, nurses, allied health and industry stakeholders.
- Clinicians and researchers targeting early diagnosis will benefit from this session and the discussion surrounding CSF profiling, as will clinicians across all disciplines who are involved in the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.
- Professionals interested in the pursuit of CSF sampling.
