AAIC 2010 Student Volunteer Application

A limited number of volunteer opportunities are open to ISTAART student members at AAIC and the Alzheimer’s Imaging Consortium (AIC). The AIC will be held Saturday, July 10, 2010 and AAIC begins July 11, 2010. Both events are in Honolulu, Hawaii. Student volunteers will have their AAIC and AIC registration fee waived. If you would like to be considered for a volunteer opportunity, please complete the information below.

All applications are due by February 26, 2010.

Criteria:

Applicants must be student members in good standing of ISTAART as of July 1, 2010.
If you are a current member and your membership expires June 30, 2010, you must renew by June 30 in order to accept the award if chosen.

• Applicants must be ISTAART student members.
• Applicants must be available all six days.

Sample Volunteer Opportunities:

Plenary ushers

• Assist attendees in finding seats
• Monitor the room for photographs
• Must stay in session entire time
• Take an approximate attendance count

Symposia and oral session monitors

• Put out chair and speaker table tents
• Confirm arrival of chair person and presenters
• Monitor the room for photographs
• Take an approximate attendance count
• Assist attendees in finding a seat

Poster help desk

• Assist staff at desk during poster set-up, teardown and during poster sessions

Multiple volunteers will be used in the various roles. Every effort will be made to assign volunteers to their session of choice. However, there are no guarantees. Assignments will be based on need.
