We provide training and education to families, caregivers, professionals and general audiences on a variety of topics in most settings. Please refer to above calendar for upcoming presentations in your community. Contact Carolyn Lake at 1.800.272.3900 or clake@alz.org for details in scheduling a presentation for your group.

The following programs are available for caregivers or general audiences:

Know the 10 Signs
Explanation and examples of warning signs of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, benefits of early detection and early diagnosis, and research updates
Length: 1 hour

Living with Alzheimer’s for Caregivers
Learn from experiences of people who are currently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. Learn about effective communication techniques and other ways to maintain health as a caregiver.
Length: 1-1.5 hours

Living with Late Stage Alzheimer's for Caregivers
Learn about Alzheimer's symptoms that are common in the later stages, strategies for pain management, and coping with caregiver grief.
Length: 1 hour

The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer's
Learn the basics of Alzheimer's and how it may differ from other types of dementia or memory loss conditions. Additional topics covered include: risk factors, diagnosis, stages and treatments.
Length: 1-1.5 hours

Volunteer Speaker’s Bureau
In addition to the Alzheimer’s Association Education Programs, we have a speaker’s bureau comprised of volunteer presenters. They present on a variety of topics at no cost to requesting organizations in our 17-county service area. Topic availability may vary based on program location.
