Who We Are

The Alzheimer's Association is the national voice for people with Alzheimer's disease and related disorders, their families and caregivers. Nationally, approximately 5 million Americans have Alzheimer's and 19 million report they have a family member with Alzheimer's. By mid-century, 14 million will likely have Alzheimer's, unless a cure or prevention is found.

Over 350,000 New Jersey individuals and families are affected by Alzheimer's disease.

The Alzheimer's Association provides information, support, and education and training for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's. Anyone may contact us through the 24-hour Information Helpline (1.800.883.1180), the chapter Web site (www.alznj.org), or through our community education and outreach efforts.

Advocacy and Research

We support advocacy on Alzheimer's disease and related memory issues before federal, state and local government. We are the largest private funder of Alzheimer research, and have committed more than $100 million toward research into the causes, treatment, prevention and cure of Alzheimer's disease.
