Volunteer to make a difference.   

The Alzheimer’s Association counts on volunteers nationwide to support our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.

Through the efforts of talented, caring volunteers, we are able to deliver programs, fund research and support people affected by Alzheimer’s.


You can contribute to all aspects of our work as a volunteer including:

Walk Committee Member

Are you passionate about working towards a world without Alzheimer's? Are you organized, mission driven and love working on big projects? Join us as Walk to End Alzheimer’s Committee Member. Our committee members play an active role in the planning, team recruitment, team retention, and execution of our Walk Event. Committee members provide an invaluable link to their local community for our events team and are integral to the success of each Walk. We need your help to make this event great! Join our team so together, we can work to end Alzheimer’s disease.

Community Liaison Representative

Are you a social person who loves you being involved in your community? Represent the Alzheimer’s Association across the Washington and Northern Idaho at various health fairs, community events and social gatherings. Become trained in all of our resources and learn how to bring vital services and support to your community.

Donor Engagement Volunteer

Join our Development Team and learn the in’s and out’s of donor stewardship by becoming our Donor Engagement Volunteer. You can help us foster our relationships with donors to ensure they feel appreciated. Learn how to share the impact of charitable donations through effective donor engagement strategies. Your work with The Alzheimer’s Association will support all chapter programs and events while providing new opportunities for your professional growth.

Speaker's Bureau Volunteers

Passionate public speakers and educators are wanted for our Speakers Bureau Program. Our Speakers Bureau volunteers represent and promote the Alzheimer’s Association through presentations and attendance at community events. Speakers Bureau Volunteers are trained to deliver Alzheimer’s Association Educational Programs and help us expand our reach throughout Washington and Northern Idaho. Access to reliable transportation and public speaking skills are necessary for this position.

Support Group Facilitator

Our expertly trained facilitators lead support groups throughout our chapter for family members, care partners and individuals living with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Support Groups provide assistance, emotional support and information on topics related to Alzheimer’s disease. Volunteer Support Group Facilitators are required to make a minimum one-year commitment.

The Longest Day Task Force

Are you a fearless fundraiser? Are you a connector and networker in your community? Use these skills for a good cause! The Longest Day Team Task Force is a group of outgoing and energetic community volunteers who are willing to take on a one-year leadership role to assist in recruiting and mentoring teams for The Longest Day. On June 21, teams across the world participate in The Longest Day, an event to honor the strength, passion and endurance of those facing Alzheimer's disease. Join us in bringing together your community to raise funds and awareness on The Longest Day.
