Southern Colorado Regional Director

General Summary

The Regional Director's primary responsibility for coordination of services to eighteen counties covered by the Pueblo office.  Community outreach, personnel and volunteer supervision, and office management are other critical functions.  The Regional Director is the focal point for the organization in the communities served and will be responsible for public relations. Promote and participate in Alzheimer's Association Advocacy Alerts and Public Policy initiatives.

Essential Job Functions

  • Deliver and/or supervise services for geographic area served:  Helpline, Support Groups, Education, Care Consultation, and MedicAlert+SafeReturn.
  • Support development staff for Walk to End Alzheimer's and other fundraising functions.
  • Contribute to development staff annual review process as requested by Chief Development Officer.
  • Conduct volunteer recruitment, training and scheduling to support office needs & service delivery.
  • Recruit and supervise student interns who work in service delivery.
  • Represent Alzheimer's Association in local workplace giving campaigns as requested. 
  • Strategize rural outreach and service delivery.
  • Prepare and submit annual budget requests.
  • Submit quarterly program calendar and highlights for inclusion in monthly e-newsletter.
  • Compile and maintain monthly program/service statistics.
  • Administer National program survey tools according to annual schedule.
  • Other duties as requested.

Minimum Requirements

Requires a Master's degree in a human services field.  Prior work experience with Alzheimer's families, facilitating groups, conducting training programs and public speaking is important.  Strong public relations and organizational skills are essential.
