The Technical Assistant, Mailroom Support is responsible for receiving and sorting incoming mail, collecting and processing outgoing mail, stocking kitchen and paper supplies, and assisting with employee adds, moves or changes. This position will take direction from the Mailroom Supervisor and assist in the day to day operations of the mailroom and copy center.
Essential Job Functions
Mail Distribution - Receive/sort incoming & interoffice mail for distribution. - Collect and process outgoing mail: - Run postage meter - Deliver to and pick up for USPS Reconciliation/Invoice Processing - Prepare monthly reports indicating usage and cost of postage, delivery and copy services - Process vendor invoices Deliveries - Receive/log/deliver incoming packages: Express Mail, Office Supplies, Fedex/UPS, Messengers/Other Special Deliveries. - Receive and process outgoing packages. - Log packages. - Prepare package labels affix Copiers/Printers Maintenance. - Stock paper at convenience copiers. - Monitor operation and performance and initiate service calls as necessary. - Change Toner and staple cartridges at convenience copiers. - Receive and direct maintenance vendors as necessary. - Train operators of equipment as necessary. Fulfillment Requests - Contact Center Fulfillment - Process copy, binding and fulfillment jobs. - Serve as liaison to designated departments. - Process jobs as necessary including outsourcing vendor liaison as required. - Assist with employee moves, adds or changes. - Assist with Conference Room Set up. - Reception Desk Relief Coverage. -Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D). - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Prior mailroom experience a plus. - Excellent Customer Skills. - Ability to lift 30-50 pounds continually, carry heavy bundles and crated items.
