Associate Director, Corporate Initiatives

General Summary

Identifies strategies to develop and cultivate long-term, holistic engagements with Fortune 500 companies to achieve the Alzheimer's Association mission and income outcomes while aligning the prospective company's branding, HR, CSR and/or customer objectives.

Essential Job Functions

- Ensures effective strategies are utilized to increase income development opportunities with corporations. Income opportunities would include payroll deduction programs, sponsorships, royalties, strategic alliances, cause marketing, endorsements and special event participation.

- Identifies, cultivates, and solicits contributions from national corporations to provide financial support for the Association's major special event program - Walk to End Alzheimer's and The Longest Day. Researches and analyzes industry trends to identify best practices and prepares proposals for corporations to secure funding for the Association's to support mission related activities.

- Collaborates closely with Director of Constituent Events, Constituent Services, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations and MedSci staff to maximize revenue opportunity of business on an ongoing basis.

- Communicates effectively and efficiently with clients, chapters and internal team

- Fulfill client obligations in a timely and professional manner

- Uses excellent project management skills to provide data and prepare monthly status reports to monitor client activity, revenue and performance evaluation.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field

- 8-10 years successful experience in Not For Profit Corporate Initiatives, Account Management or Sales (consumer promotion marketing/account sales experience useful)

- Experience in project management, proposal writing and working as part of a team

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications with emphasis in PowerPoint

- Clear business writing skill required.
