Senior Specialist, Diversity & Inclusion

General Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the Sr. Associate Director of Diversity & Inclusion in the outlining, development, execution and monitoring of a national diversity outreach strategy implemented by local Chapters across the country.  Supporting tactics include, but not limited to: Program building, training development and execution, brand and communication management, collateral development, partnership building and Chapter support.

Essential Job Functions

Project Support:
-Assist in the development, execution and monitoring of toolkits, materials and training related to key diversity outreach projects
-Assist in the updating, expansion, and monitoring of diversity web-portal content for both constituents and staff
-Track milestones, timelines and budgets for all Diversity & Inclusion projects to assure anticipated outcomes
Chapter Support:
-Serve as point-of-contact for Chapter network in answering questions, problem solving and general support as necessary
-Proactively identify Chapter needs, areas of opportunity and potential challeges to offer tools, training ideas, and solutions
Collateral Management:
-Coordinate the updating, review and fulfillment process for all Diversity materials
-Develop and manage a process for new material development including needs assessment, prioritization, translation and internal review
-Manage vendor relationships to assure timeliness, compliance and final product expectations are met
Reporting and Association-wide communications:
-Generate required diversity-related report for disseminating project progress and raising awareness of program successes both through regular reporting and as-needed communications. Regular reporting could include: Project reports to Senior Associate Director and Vice President
-Notification and follow up to monthly Program Director Calls, D&I Chapter Council Calls, National D&I Committee Calls and others as needed
-Chief Strategy Officer Updates
-CEO Updates
As-needed communications and reporting could include:
-Diversity-related communications to National Organization Staff       
-Diversity-related communications to Chapter Staff
Other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

-B.A. or equivalent work experience in marketing, communications, community outreach
-Two years' experience in multicultural outreach and evaluation
-Two years 'experience in project management and coordination
-Strong customer service perspective
-Effective communication style
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
-Bilingual Spanish strongly encouraged to apply
-Must also have the ability to travel by car or plane on Association business as needed.
