Associate Director, Constituent Events

General Summary

The Alzheimer's Association National Office is looking for a dynamic, experienced professional to lead the development of tools and resources, and provide training and support for Constituent Events (Blondes vs Brunettes, The Longest Day & A Reason to Hope) to ensure revenue goals are met.

Essential Job Functions

- Establish, in conjunction with department director and other AD position, goals, benchmarks and execution plans for The Longest Day, Blondes v Brunettes & A Reason to Hope
- Work with other Associate Director and Director to assess and determine gaps in training and resource development for three events
- Develop a comprehensive plan for delivery of a combination of in person, on line and telephone training and on-going support to Chapter staff
- Facilitate Team Task Force conference calls and webinars for The Longest Day
- Assist in development of a communications plan to chapter staff for all three events.
- Assist in development of budgets for TLD, BvB and ARTH and monitor them, placing an emphasis on growing revenue while reducing expenses
- Work with department director and other AD to develop and implement acquisition strategies to achieve participant recruitment goals
- Work with other department team members to develop and implement strategies to increase team and individual fundraising averages.
- Extensive travel required
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree - marketing or business preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years work-related experience preferred in event fundraising, marketing, product management or other similar industry. 
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience leading projects
- Experience with Convio or Blackbaud a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Excellent project management skills.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Some evening and weekend hours may be required at peak times. Must also have the ability to travel as needed, approximately 30%.
