Controller, Finance (National Chapters)
The Alzheimer's Association is seeking a Finance Controller
to provide accounting and finance support to National Chapters.
Essential Job Functions
Prepare not-for-profit (NFP) financial statements and variance reports.
Grasp and explain not-for-profit accounting principles (GAAP) and practice, including the IRS Form 990.
Prepare annual budgets.
Develop and implement accounting procedures
Understand and address accounting questions, government grants, cash handling, etc.
Highest level of proactive customer service.
Set priorities and meet deadlines.
Bachelor degree in accounting required, CPA preferred.
Five years accounting or financial management experience in a large NFP environment, preferably similar experience with national and chapter relationship.
Budgeting experience with large NFP â€“ national and chapters.
Proficient with automated accounting systems such as MAS 500, Oracle, Peoplesoft, etc. and not Peachtree or Quickbooks.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Able to work collaboratively with employees at all levels. Familiar with complex accounting systems.
