General Summary

Technical Assistant Coding, Donor Services will ensure the integrity of all data and related donor information entered into Team Approach at the National Office.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare batches/items for coding.
  • Resolve any conflicts in regards to a Pledge or Pledge Payment between the Development and Finance departments on how to treat the item.
  • If the necessary code(s) do not exist in Team Approach, referred the item to the Manager, Revenue Support Services or the Supervisor, Revenue Support Services.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all business rules and data entry procedures associated with National office and Chapter revenue recording and maintenance of associated donor information.
  • Meet established production quotas and quota entry accuracy thresholds.
  • Maintain numeric filing system for batches. File and box batches for offsite storage. 
  • Process returned mail and update donors information from returned mail.

Position is backup to the Data Preparation position(s).

  • Analyze all assigned batches and documentation for compliance with business rules.
  • Verify all information to be entered in the system.
  • Prepare all assigned batches to assure accurate data entry.
  • Analyze all assigned batches and documentation for compliance with business rules.
  • Perform data hygiene/maintenance work for all accounts.
  • For each item in a batch perform the changes, additions, merges etc as needed:
  • Identify Pledge vs. Pledge Payment transactions; prepare and verify open pledges.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma with previous experience or college degree.
  • Data entry 10,000 keystrokes per hour.
  • Typing 50 wpm
  • One year work experience in data processing environment.
  • Two-years experience working in a Windows environment with working knowledge of Microsoft Application such as Word, Excel and Access.
  • One-year experience working in database management system.

    Overtime is expected during the peak volume season which runs from November through January. NOTE: During this time, paid time off must be pre-approved by the Manager of the department in no more than 1-week increments of time off.
