| General Summary |
The Alzheimer's Association National Office is looking for an individual to work in collaboration with the Chapters to manage and enhance IT services provided to both the National Office and Chapters. The IT Services Associate Director will be a member of the National Office IT Infrastructure Team that is responsible for chapter infrastructure components, such as email, help desk, data network, voice network, servers, and workstations, managed by the National Office. The IT Services Associate Director will supervise and mentor the IT Services staff. |
| Essential Job Functions |
• Provide friendly and timely customer service to our end-users with IT requests and questions. • Supervise, mentor, and train IT Services and Help Desk staff • Plan, design, install, configure, administer and optimizes basic server operating systems such as Windows Server, VMWare, and related components based on established priorities. • Plan, design, install, configure, administer and optimize remote branch office network infrastructures, such as small office Cisco routers. • Plan, coordinate and provide technical assistance in changing system elements or operational procedures to achieve a robust, highly available, and secure infrastructure • Assist in the design, planning and implementation of new infrastructure components or changes to existing infrastructure configurations. • Work on tasks and projects independently or as part of a team and diligently completes assigned tasks or projects with minimum supervision. • Share knowledge and cross-train other infrastructure staff. |
| Minimum Requirements |
Position requires a bachelor's degree with relevant course work in computer science, programming, or information systems and 5 years of related experience as a system administrator; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience and with at least the last 5 years focused on providing technical support across a broad range of Microsoft technologies including; moves/adds/changes within Active Directory (AD), file servers, and Microsoft Exchange 2003. 3+ years of hands-on VMware vSphere, VMware View, and Cisco network experience. Requires the ability to recognize, analyze, and resolve moderately complex problems, has some latitude for independent judgment, ability to work under general direction, and possess effective communication skills. Decisions have moderate to significant impact on the organization. Position requires the ability to provide on-call support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, as needed. There is potential for traveling to chapter offices when the support cannot be done remotely. The traveling will be planned and scheduled in conjunction with our staff and chapter's availability, unless it is a critical emergency.
