General Summary

Provide Web design innovation and leadership on assigned projects, and work collaboratively with teams from conception to completion of Web sites. The ideal candidate will be well versed in Web design, graphic illustration, user interface design, usability principles, and interactive design concepts. Essential Job Functions

•  Design Web concepts that interpret project goals and user needs. Envision sites through such tools as wireframes and prototypes.
•  Create graphic look and feel of Web sites.
•  Design information experience on Web sites, following best-practices for visual presentation and layout of information and navigation elements 
•  Conceptualize and design interactive Web features.
•  Oversee the implementation of the final design of Web sites by the technical team.
•  Be part of the e-strategy team and consult and collaborate on opportunities and issues.
•  Develop communications and reports on e-strategy activities as assigned.
  

Minimum Requirements

•  At least 3 years experience in Web design
•  BA/BS degree in graphic design, computer design or related field 
•  Demonstrated experience in designing Web sites from conception to completion
•  Graphic design expertise
•  Strong background in user experience and usability concepts
•  Proven expertise in home page design theory
•  Portfolio of site maps, wireframes, and Web sites.
•  Ability to design Flash presentations a strong plus
•  Strong communication skills. 
•  Some familiarity with HTML concepts.
•  Knowledge of instructional design a plus.
