General Summary

The Alzheimer's Association is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and successful senior corporate initiatives professional to provide strategic leadership to this new department devoted to increasing concern and awareness of the Alzheimer's Association, enhancing delivery of education, care, and support, and increasing revenue to support the mission. 

As a member of senior management team, this position will lead comprehensive corporate initiatives, relationship events and cause marketing initiatives across all constituencies and to the general public.  This key position will focus on building nationwide initiatives and partnerships that further the general public and employee understanding of Alzheimer's disease and propel them to get involved in the movement.

The Vice President of Corporate Initiatives and Sponsorship will have the benefit of active and successful corporate initiatives and relationship events departments who are engaged with chapter leadership and significant key accounts.  This individual will build a cause marketing team which will have nationwide impact on moving our mission forward.   

Our leaders are all mentors who have a long history of building, supporting and retaining key staff.

Essential Job Functions

Key responsibilities include:
• Lead the cause marketing and corporate initiatives teams to meet or exceed the Strategic Plan strategic objectives and priority activities.  Provide business strategy and implement tactics across the organization, including support of chapters to meet their goals. 
• Proactively lead the relationship events & sponsorship department to develop and implement exciting and engaging event sponsorship opportunities and activation to accomplish key awareness and revenue objectives.
• Build upon emerging success in all areas of responsibility to engage significantly more new companies through sponsorship, cause marketing, and employee engagement.  Directly engage with companies to steward and close new relationships.  Support nationwide corporate staff to achieve these goals.
• Work in concert with the VP Marketing and Mass Marketing Development to build momentum across tandem priority activities.
Skills and Experience:
• Strong history of success in corporate relations and cause marketing
• Staff development and coaching
• Strategic organizational thinking and communications planning
• Budget development and management
• Project management
• Technical skills and/or knowledge of at least some of the following: employee engagement, workplace giving, campaign development,  effective presentations, communications skills training, social media engagement
• Excellent writing, editing and speaking skills
• Interpersonal communications skills

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• 10 years' experience in corporate relations management, cause marketing and event sponsorship
• Proven experience in creating general corporate marketing campaigns to drive significant corporate engagement
• 5-7 years of experience with corporate engagement and proven ability to develop and close new relationships at $250,000-$5,000,000 levels
• Understanding and ability to thrive in federated/franchise environment
