This position will take the lead in the coordination of the Group Form 990 with chapters and the Association's independent auditors. Coordinate and review chapter network financial reporting. Participate in the preparation and review of the consolidated IRS 990 for chapters. Review chapter billings and prepare/review Shared Fundraising reporting.
Essential Job Functions
Monthly preparation and review of Chapter revenue sharing reports (SFR), journal entries, account reconciliations and quarterly settlements. This position will handle larger and more complex chapters
Provide chapters with updated forms, instructions and timelines for preparation of the annual 990 excel file Analysis of 990 excel file and supporting schedules to ensure proper reporting on chapter financial statements
Preparation and review of consolidated data for filing of IRS Form 990 from the 990 excel files (ARC)
Annual review of independent audit reports (management letters) and recap of exceptions/areas of risk
Provide technical accounting assistance to chapters on topics including: -Shared Fundraising, financial reports, Form 990 -Special projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
5 years financial accounting experience, preferably in a not-for-profit environment
5 years experience with preparation and review of Form 990
Strong Analytical skills.
Proficiency with enterprise level accounting systems
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint
