The Director of Strategic Communications serves to measurably increase concern about Alzheimer's disease and awareness of the Alzheimer's Association as the leader of help and hope in the fight against it through: a variety of strategic communications initiatives: 1) Oversees the collateral library and production of new or revised educational materials. 2) Manages special projects including video production. 3) Manages inventory selections for the eStore. 4) Manages and implements the Alzheimer's Association Brand Guidelines and serves as counsel to Chapters when using these materials. 5) Is responsible for supervising staff writers and their knowledge of the Alzheimer's Association Brand Guidelines. 6) Seeks to maximize campaigns through other channels within Constituent Marketing and other departments. 7) Serves as marketing manager for the Alzheimer's Association conferences, including the Alzheimer's Association Policy Summit and the Alzheimer's Association International Conference.
Essential Job Functions
Manages catalogue of items and coordinates inventory management with eStore.
Manages all collateral production, from design to printing.
Manages production of promotional videos including vendor management, on-site production, post-production, interviewing and in-site supervision.
Works with staff to provide counsel on marketing programs to increase synergy among all marketing activities. Identifies new or expanded products/services to improve Association market position. Effectiveness measured by qualitative evaluation of cooperation and synergy, as well as quantitative measures of marketing program.

Minimum Requirements
5-10 years marketing position in a corporation, healthcare or consumer goods organization, or agency
5-10years experience in marketing and branding strategy and creative development
5-10 years experience in conducting or commissioning market research to define and segment target audiences
Experience in product management, including positioning, distribution and sales, in business with multiple products
Project supervision or management required
Presentation and sales or new business development experience required
