Specialist, Healthcare Professional Services (Part Time)

General Summary

The Specialist assists the department Director and Associate Director in the development and management of programs, trainings, and publications initiated and/or managed by the Healthcare Professional Services Department. Areas of focus include applying the Alzheimer's Association Dementia Care Practice Recommendations to content for developing and evaluating dementia care training and certification programs, providing support for physician outreach activities, and providing administration support for the Healthcare Professional services department.

Essential Job Functions

General Work Activities:
• Manage until resolution general inquiries to department (e.g., chapter requests for information about dementia care training)
• Manage delivery of annual webinar for training chapter staff on delivery of Foundations of Dementia Care
• Review dementia care training materials as they relate to the Association dementia care practice recommendations
• Attend monthly meetings with dementia care training partner, Healthcare Interactive
• Organize logistics for working group meetings and take notes as needed
• Monitor RFP or contract execution process
Healthcare Professional Outreach:
• Attend conferences as needed for booth staffing
• Support ordering and shipment of materials to conferences
Customer Service:
• Assure quality interactions with all constituents

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and experience
• 2-3 years experience in dementia care (eg, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc.)
