The Alzheimer's Association has a National office in downtown Chicago, IL, Public Policy office in Washington, DC and an extensive network of National chapters throughout the United States.

The Opportunity

This summer the Alzheimer's Association is seeking to hire intern candidates for the opportunity to learn, experience, work and contribute to the Association's mission of creating a world without Alzheimer's disease. In doing so students will, for a period of time, become a part of a departmental team (Marketing, IT, Medical Science, Legal, Financial Operations, Public Policy, Constituents Relation, Relationship Development, etc) , be exposed to specific careers and the variety of career paths that form this national organization.

Essential Job Functions

This is a full-time, paid internship and the length of the assignment is 10 weeks (June 17 - August 23, 2013). The deadline for submitting application is April 15, 2013.The position is located in downtown Chicago, IL or Washington, DC. Please note the program does NOT offer laboratory or practical medical experience nor relocation or housing allowance.

Minimum Requirements

Candidate Qualifications

·         Student must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university.

·         At least a sophomore in college.

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office, primarily Microsoft Word.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Must enjoy working as part of team and be a self-starter eager to contribute individual results.
