The National Office located in Downtown Chicago is seeking an individual for the Specialist of Relationship Events. This position is responsible to assist in development, planning and execution of the National Alzheimer's Dinner in Washington, DC; build and maintain the Young Champions Committee of the Chicago Rita Hayworth Gala; assist in the expansion and development of Hilarity for Charity at a collegiate level; and coordinate the relationship between Association branches and Bankers Life branches throughout Forget Me Not Days.
Essential Job Functions
National Alzheimer's Dinner -- Oversee planning, directing and managing all logistics, collateral and communications; Coordinate and support the activities of volunteer committee and event co-chairs; Sponsorship solicitations and stewardship.
Hilarity for Charity – Act as liaison between host and Association; provide materials and support to participants; Solicit student organizations and/or universities to participate.
Young Champions Committee of the Chicago Rita Hayworth Gala -- Coordinate and support the activities of committee; Coordinate, train and manage volunteers providing on-site event support.
Forget Me Not Days -- Coordinate chapters with participating Bankers Life branches; Act as liaison between Bankers Life headquarters and chapters; Update Association web pages
Assist with other Association strategic events as needed
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in fundraising, marketing, or related field or equivalent experience
1-3 years experience in development, special events and or marketing
Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
