General Summary

The National Office located in Downtown Chicago is seeking an individual for the Director of Marketing & Branding.  This individual will provide leadership to consumer marketing and branding function to increase awareness of the disease and the Association by establishing our brand.  Manage all advertising and branding campaigns and materials for the national organizations and advertising/marketing materials and counsel to the chapters.

The successful candidate must be a strong team player and enjoy working in a collegial yet demanding and effective culture. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated ability developing a marketing plan and brand awareness.

Essential Job Functions

• Develops an overall marketing plan for the national office
• Identifies key products/services/events and other activities
• Identifies new or expanded products/services to improve Association marketing position
• Provides strategic counsel to individual VPs/directors and conducts market research as needed
• Provides oversight to collateral production and production of promotional videos
• Manage staff and department budget

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing   
• Five to seven years of experience in leading advertising campaigns, social marketing promotions, consumer marketing implementation, and project management.
• Excellent creative problem solving, communications, presentation and interpersonal skills.  
• Ability to lead and motivate, especially with staff in matrix reporting relationships.
• Computer literate and willingness to travel.
