Admin. Assistant GR KY & Southern IN - part time

General Summary

The Administrative Assistant's primary responsibility is to assist the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter in achieving the Association's objectives as set forth in the Mission Statement and the Strategic Plan.  Major activities include administrative support focused on constituent communication, public awareness and social media.

This is a part-time, benefits eligible  position.
The position reports to Director, GR KY & Southern IN Chapter and is located in Louisville, KY.

Essential Job Functions

  • Basic office administration/support (e.g. reception/phone, copies, mailings).     
  • Promotion of Chapter activities and programs.       
  • Manage website and social media.   
  • Assist with public relations & communications projects as assigned.
  • Assist monitoring media impressions .      
  • Coordinate national reporting of CSQEI and Laser Metrics.  
  • Assist with Helpline follow up (mailed correspondence).   
  • Donor/sponsor recognition.        
  • Other general office project and duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma.
  • Prior experience in communications support, website management, social media, preferred .
  • Understanding of administrative procedure.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent typing, filing and record-keeping skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • High level of integrity, diplomacy and initiative .
  • Ability to work independently.
