The Alzheimer's Association National Office is seeking a dynamic, creative program director to launch a new initiative to engage women in the Alzheimer's cause and take action with the Alzheimer's Association. This position will manage all implementation plans for launch, develop ongoing strategies, and manage internal and external stakeholders to build momentum and accelerate results.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in journalism, women's issues, and consumer marketing. While this is a full time position with some core work hours, there can be some flexibility with non-core work hours.
Location: Can be based at our National office in Chicago, or home-offce based in Los Angeles or New York.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead implementation plan for campaign launch, including site development, building of social platforms, partnership development and content creation. - Identifies and creates ongoing and breakthrough content and engagement opportunities geared to target audience and cause-related to share, engage and create 'conversation' with constituents. - Manage stakeholder relationships with all internal and external parties. - Monitor, measure and evaluate program results and opportunities for adjustments and growth.
Other Duties & Responsibilities: - Build and maintain positive working relationships with chapter staff and volunteers - Lead in an innovative, customer-focused environment - Develop and deliver project updates and presentations for various audiences - Work with high profile/celebrity advocates, donors and volunteers -Work with staff to ensure all business activity needs are met.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing - 5 - 7 years of experience in leading advertising campaigns, social marketing promotions, consumer marketing implementation, and project management. - 5 - 7 years of experience in journalism, women’s issues and consumer marketing. - Excellent creative problem solving, communications, presentation and interpersonal skills. - Proven ability to work with high profile/celebrity stakeholders - Ability to lead and motivate, especially with staff in matrix reporting relationships. - High degree of computer and social media literacy - Willingness to travel (up to 40%), and work some evenings/weekends
