"Willie Tate Classic" Golf Tournament

This year, Courtyard Gardens is hosting the fourth annual “Willie Tate Classic” Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 20. The four-person scramble will honor Willie Tate, a former PGA Golf and NFL player’s coach and a Hall-of-Fame inductee from Hope High School in Arkadelphia, AR, to raise awareness of the devastating effects Alzheimer’s disease and dementia have on this hometown hero and many more. All proceeds will go the Alzheimer’s Association for funding and research.

Creative Dance, Movement and Art for People with Alzheimer’s

This program is for individuals with early-stage Alzheimer’s or dementia and their care partners. Participants will explore creative movement and art with museum educators and special guest dance educator Alice Bloch. Museum educators facilitate interactive discussions of artworks in the galleries and hands-on art activities in the studio. Dr. Bloch guides movement exercises based on the artwork. No prior art or dance experience is required! Refreshments and art materials are provided. Free. Advance registration is required and space is limited.
