Getting a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or dementia doesn't mean a person is unable to make decisions about the future. A person with Alzheimer's should participate as much as possible. Begin this planning as soon as you get the diagnosis. You'll need to make decisions about health care, finances, and will and estate planning.
