Join the Alzheimer’s Association ALZ Stars and participate in the 2009 Columbus Marathon (26.2 miles) or 1/2 Marathon (13.1 miles) on Sunday, October 18, 2009.

ALZ Stars is an unique and exciting way to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association while participating in an endurance running or walking event.

When you join the ALZ Stars, we will provide you with:

• Your entry into the Columbus Marathon or 1/2 Marathon
• Expert coaching from Sole of Columbus Running including:
  
  • A personal day-by-day training plan
  • Personal contact with Sole of Columbus Running coaches
  • Weekly group runs or walks at three locations
  • Clinics on nutrition, clothing, shoes, race day preparation, strengthening, etc.
  • A personal online running journal
  • 10% discount on shoes and apparel
• Fundraising techniques and support, including:
  
  • Your own fundraising webpage

  • Support from professional fundraising staff
• ALZ Stars race day singlet and training T-Shirt

In exchange, ALZ Stars runners and walkers will:

• Raise funds vital to the mission of the Alzheimer’s Association: to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
• Provide help and hope to the 5.3 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease, and support for the families who love and care for them.
