Volunteer Opportunities
The Alzheimer's Association of Greater Cincinnati is supported in our mission by the dedication of over 600 volunteers who donate their time and effort. You can become one of these special people and help make a difference in the lives of those affected by Alzheimer's disease. We can use your assistance on a regular basis or as a one-time commitment in one of the following ways:
Health Fairs
Hand out literature at an information table during community health fairs at local senior centers, hospitals, churches, or shopping malls. Volunteers are not expected to answer questions about Alzheimer's disease.
Educational Programs
Set up and serve refreshments for educational gatherings, greet participants, and assist with registration.
Special Events
Plan and implement the many tasks involved in delivering successful fundraising events. Volunteer as a committee member to help organize the event or as a hands-on worker the day of the event.
Office Support
Assist in answering the phones, various clerical duties, and preparation of mailings.
If you are interested in volunteering for the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Cincinnati, please contact Marcy Hawkins at 513.721.4284, ext. 118 or email marcy.hawkins@alz.org.

Examples of third-party fundraisers include:
- A birthday, wedding or anniversary celebration where the honorees ask their guests to make contributions
- Holiday, Super Bowl or Derby parties where guests bring donations
- A luncheon or casual dress day hosted by a company or one of its departments
- A golf outing, bike-ride, dance or other social event
- An historic homes tour sponsored by a civic organization
If you have questions about sponsoring a fundraising event, or want to discuss guidelines for using the Alzheimer's Association name or logo, please contact the Greater Cincinnati Chapter at 513.721.4284 prior to your event. Thank you for considering the Alzheimer’s Association as the beneficiary of the proceeds from your third-party fundraiser. We appreciate your support!
