The Alzheimer's Association Cleveland Area Chapter provides a variety of programs and services designed to support individuals who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia, their care partners and family. Through these programs and services, the Alzheimer's Association is committed to provide support throughout the duration of the disease.
Education programs sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Association Cleveland Area Chapter provide up to date, informative and practical information to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, their family members and friends as well as the general public and professionals. Although some education programs are available on our website for online training, our live presentations allow participants to ask questions, hear others’ questions and interact with one another. Last year, 99% of the attendees that were surveyed at our education programs, said they were satisfied with the program would recommend the program to others.
Approximately 60% of those diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease are at risk for wandering. The Alzheimer's Association promotes the use of safety services as a way to maintain independence and peace of mind.
