Understanding Memory Loss - Just The Facts

We offer several educational programs for families and individuals facing Alzheimer’s, as well as community members. Most of these programs, described below, are free of charge.

Informal Caregiving Training 

A one day training.  Topics include:

  • Overview of Alzheimer's disease and related disorders
  • Communication techniques
  • Ideas for activities
  • Techniques for managing challenging behaviors

These programs are offered free of charge. The Alzheimers Association is a non-profit organization dependant upon individual donations.  We are grateful for any support you can give us.

Learning Together II Education Series

A ten-part educational program designed for persons living with mild memory loss & their families.  Indivdualized workbooks provide information for now and for the future.

Understanding Memory Loss - Just The Facts

This three or four part series is designed for spouses, adult children, other relatives and friends who are involved in the care of someone with memory loss due to Alzheimer's disease or related dementias.

You will have the opportunity to meet with other individuals caring for someone with memory loss.  There will be a chance for discussion and a focus on getting your questions answered.  Topics include: Understanding Memory Loss, Legal and Financial Planning, Practical Tips and Caring for the Caregiver.

The Just The Facts educational series are offered free of charge, however registration is required.  The Alzheimers Association is a non-profit organization dependant upon individual donations.  We are grateful for any support you can give us.
