EASE

The EASE program, was developed for diagnosed persons in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or related disorders and their caregivers. EASE is both a program of caregiver education and support. Participants jointly attend eight weekly sessions that cover a range of topics related to living with Alzheimer’s disease. Guest experts provide education on topics such as communication challenges, coping strategies, research and treatment, legal issues and community resources. In this innovative model of education and support, participants have the opportunity to learn about Alzheimer’s disease together, but also have separate facilitated meeting time. This allows both caregivers and diagnosed individuals in their respective groups to be able to express themselves openly and to have a chance to meet others in similar circumstances. After the eight-week EASE program, the Alzheimer’s Association continues to provide support for participants through ongoing EASE support groups.

Clients must be preregistered and meet the criteria for this program. Call 800.272.3900 to schedule interview. Return to the Calendar
