Young Professionals Alzheimer's Association of Colorado

Mission Statement: To heighten awareness of Alzheimer’s disease, provide support for all affected families and promote the advancement of research.

Established in 2006 as an auxiliary organization to the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado, YPAAC encourages young professionals to take part in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease.   YPAAC produces fun and exciting fundraising events which raise money and awareness for the 72,000 Coloradoans currently living with Alzheimer’s disease and the more than 222,000 caregivers.

Polar Plunge
Every year on New Year’s Day nearly 900 ‘plungers’ start their year off with a icy cold dip into the Boulder Reservoir.  This event proves to be an exhilarating way to start off the New Year and to show your support for an important cause.

Blondes vs Brunettes: Tackling Alzheimer’s
Blondes vs Brunettes is  a volunteer-driven active event for young women and men that brings the passion and spirit of young community leaders together to support the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado. The event concept is organized around a women’s flag football game in which the two participating teams are divided based on the age-old rivalry between blondes and brunettes. The YPAAC board and event committees will organize all aspects of the BvB game and all associated events.

Funds raised by BvB events benefit the programs and services of the Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado.
