What is AWARE?

AWARE is an all-volunteer auxiliary of the Alzheimer’s Association Colorado Chapter. Our mission is to raise funds exclusively for research to find the cure for and prevention of Alzheimer’s disease. In 11 years AWARE has raised more than $2.4 million dollars. Our job is far from over, with a new person diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease every 70 seconds. We are committed to a world without Alzheimer’s and combine action, hope and fun to meet our goal.

Through our annual signature event Memories Lost and Found along with additional efforts such as the Alzheimer's Memory Grove and Gardens, a joint project with Alzheimer's Association of Colorado, AWARE has raised more than one million dollars toward research to develop better treatments and eventually a cure.

AWARE's success in raising money for research and increasing understanding of the disease, has been recognized by invitation to join the prestigious Zenith Fellows. The Zenith Fellows fund Alzheimer's research and consists of individuals and organizations who commit to providing $1 million in funds over 10 years.

AWARE's goals are big – but so is the challenge of finding answers to the prevention of Alzheimer's Disease. For one of the most rewarding and important roles you will ever hold, consider joining AWARE today
