June 13, 2014
Hyatt Denver Tech Center

The Alzheimer’s Association of Colorado presents Memories in the Making® (MIM) Art Auction at the Hyatt Regency Tech Center from 6 - 9:30 pm Friday, June 13, 2014.

Professional artwork donated by 35 local artists including Roxanne Rossi, Cheryl St. John and Madeleine O’Connell will be paired with more than 93 framed watercolors created by those with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Alzheimer’s Association Memories in the Making programs are facilitated by trained staff and volunteers in more than 45 care facilities throughout the Denver/Boulder area.

This year watercolors were once again selected by a jury of local professional artists from the more than 4,000 pieces created in Memories in the Making art programs.

In addition, original works created by local professional artists on wooden art palettes are being auctioned. Proceeds from the silent and live auctions, ticket sales and sponsorship all go to support Alzheimer’s programs and services provided to families at no cost as well as to research in order to develop better treatments and to eventually find a cure.
