Caregiver/Student Registration Fee $ 60.00

Target Audience: Advanced & Beginning Professionals and Family Caregivers

The Alzheimer’s Association Dementia Conference offers health care professionals and family caregivers an opportunity to learn the best practices and innovative interventions which can be implemented in their day to day interaction with individuals with dementia.
One of Connecticut’s highly anticipated conferences; over seven hundred physicians, direct care workers, nurses, administrators and family caregiver’s attend this annual event.

Now in its 12th year, this dynamic conference features an internationally renowned plenary speaker, Karen Stobbe and over twenty-five workshops presented by experts in the field of dementia. Topics include Alzheimer’s 101, Choices at Home, Driving, Sexuality, Dementia Care for Veterans and more.

Continuing Education

Physicians
Application has been submitted for this program to be approved for Continuing Medical Education credits. The Jewish Home for the Elderly is accredited by the State of Connecticut as an intrastate sponsor of continuing education.

Nurses
Application has been submitted to the Connecticut Nurses’ Association for approval of continuing nursing education credit (Contact Hours).

CNA is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Social Workers
Application has been submitted for this program to be approved for Continuing Education Credit hours by the National Association of Social Workers, CT. If approved, this program will meet the continuing education criteria for Social Work Licensure renewal.
