We offer several educational programs for families and individuals facing Alzheimer’s, as well as community members. Most of these programs, described below, are free of charge.

Family Training Seminars 
This four part program is designed to educate caregivers on the necessary skills and information needed to provide care for persons with memory loss. Topic include: Overview of Alzheimer’s Disease & Research, Communication Techniques, Identification of Behavioral Challenges, Family Dynamics, Community Resources, Legal and Financial Issues.This course is not intended to substitute for professional dementia specific training.

Partnering with Your Doctor
This program, designed by the National Alzheimer’s Association, provides tools and strategies for individuals with memory loss and their caregivers in order to receive high-quality health care.  Learn how to get the most out of each doctor’s appointment and improve how you work with your doctor. Brain Health
The Connecticut Chapter offers interactive workshops for individuals to help them develop a healthy lifestyle. Programs will discuss ways to keep your brain active and healthy as well as improve your physical health.

Alzheimer’s Educational Breakfasts and Lunch and Learns
These events are designed for professionals and the general public to learn about various aspects of dementia, dementia care and related issues

Community Presentations
Community presentations are available at no cost and open to the public.  Presentation topics vary.
