The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk®, nationally presented by Genworth Financial, is our national signature event and brings together family, friends, caregivers and concerned community members who all want to make a difference. Since 1989, Memory Walk has raised more than $200 million to help those battling Alzheimer's disease. Learn more about Memory Walk.

Our heartfelt thanks to all who participated in our 2008 walks. Congratulations to the top five teams and individuals. Let’s keep the momentum going and work together to accomplish our vision, a world without Alzheimer’s.

Interested in volunteering?  We our seeking organized and motivated individuals to join a Memory Walk planning committee and/or to help with a variety of event day tasks. The Connecticut Chapter walks take place during the fall and spring. Choose from a walk below to register or to support a walker.

Forming a team for the Memory Walk can enhance your experience and multiply your impact on the fight against Alzheimer's. Together, as a team, you are a force much greater than what you can accomplish alone.

Memory Walk at a glance

  • Scenic courses ranging from 1.5 to 3 miles in length
  • Entertainment, activities for kids and kids-at-heart 
  • Remembrance Areas
  • Advocacy and Chapter information
  • Displays from sponsors and community organizations
  • Refreshments & Entertainment
  • We also welcome volunteers for registration, checkpoints along the route, refreshments, and displays.

Our Memory Walk® goals are:

  • To raise a total of approximately $ 500,000 in contributions from Walkers (individuals and teams), donors and corporate sponsors during the fall and spring walks.
  • To increase the number of Memory Walk® teams of family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers, social/civic/fraternal organizations, and sponsor organizations
