Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History
The Alzheimer’s Association of Central and Western Virginia, in partnership with The Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History is offering an Arts Fusion information session on August 20, 2014. Arts Fusion is an innovative program that provides creative opportunities to persons with dementia and their caregivers.  This session will include an overview of the Arts Fusion program, a look at the value of using the arts in dementia care, and a demonstration on how to engage persons with dementia through the arts.   This event is designed for caregivers, both personal and professional, and others who are interested in how the arts can improve the quality of life for persons diagnosed with dementia; they are not intended for the person with a diagnosis of memory loss.
