Walking for: Castilano Family/Memory of Mary Castilano/All those we serve! Eric VanVlymen - Friend, Team Captain, Assoc. Dir of Programs/Communicaton-Miami Valley Chapter - Though I have no family member directly affected, I cared for people with dementia and their families when I was the director of an Adult Day Center. I walk each year in memory of Mary Castilano because she and her family modeled the commitment to each other that I hope to see in my own family. Though her care was difficult at times, the whole family, including three teenage daughters, cared for her with respect and dignity. They saw and treated her as a person and not a disease. |
