Delaware Valley Chapter Recieves Corporate Breakfast Coverage
A reporter from the Chester County Local Newspaper recently attended a corporte breakfast hosted by The Faunbrook Bed and Breakfast in West Chester where Wendy Campbell, President & CEO of the Chapter delivered a message about the impact of Alzheimer's on the business community to area health-care officials and other professionals. Among those in attendance was Robert M. Madonna, principal at McCoy Enterprises Corporate Training & Consulting in West Chester.

Corporate Appreciation Breakfast
Nearly one hundred representative from corporations, big and small were on hand at the annual Delaware Valley Chapter Corporate Breakfast celebration to honor corporate leaders who have been pioneers in helping the Delaware Valley Chapter continue to thrive.
Many on hand have sponsored major fundraising or education events, formed Memory Walk company teams or hosted caregiver trainings.
Among the companies honored were CareOne and Bayada Nurses.
Chocolate Symphony Spring Sensation
The Alzheimer’s Association’s annual Chocolate Symphony Spring Sensation at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel was an affair to remember. More than 350 supporters are attended the April 10th gala, one of the premier events of the Alzheimer’s Association Delware Valley Chapter.
Auctioneer for this year’s affair was former 6ABC sports announcer; Scott Palmer from one of the Chapter’s most loyal supporting organizations – The Philadelphia Phillies. The Chocolate Symphony Spring Sensation guests were hosted by Orien Reid-Nix, former Chair of Alzheimer’s International, who has emceed the event for the past eleven years.
Spring Sensation has become a signature event to supporters, known for its breathtaking decor, fancy foods, award presentations and live and silent auctions featuring amazing items and experiences, including a trip to Scotland. “The excitement in the room during the auction energizes me and truly warms my heart because it means we're raising money for services and for research to find a cure,” says Reid-Nix.
For dessert – a sampling of the most delectable chocolates in the Delaware Valley – creations of
eight of the region’s finest pastry chefs and chocolatiers, who were on hand to display their
delectable chocolate creations.
Legislators Listen as Thousands of Alzheimer's Advocates Visit Capitol Hill
It was quite a day in Washington D.C. as individuals with Alzheimer's, their families, friends and other advocates and constituents from across the country gathered to have their say in front of law makers to participate in sessions to provide an update on the latest Alzheimer's research and public policy efforts.
