This is a full-time position based in Phoenix, Arizona As part of the Central Arizona Program Team, provide case management and other services for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias and their families, in keeping with the Desert Southwest Chapter's vision, mission, and goals. Provide community outreach, education and supportive services. The position involves significant teamwork and collaborative efforts with staff, volunteers, and aging / social services organizations, throughout Central Arizona. A master's level social service professional with dementia-specific experience is preferred. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work or a related field with at least three years of related experience is required. Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills are needed, in addition to multi-cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with diverse community members. The purpose of these events is to increase community awareness and generate resources to support programs and services. Events include, but are not limited to: Walk to End Alzheimer's, cause-related marketing events and third party fundraisers. Volunteer coordination responsibilities include the recruitment, training and retention of volunteers both for events and other regional needs. This position requires significant collaborative efforts with staff, volunteers, organizations and the community at-large to achieve goals. Preferred qulaifications include a bachelor's degree in non-profit management, communications or a related field, with a minimum of three years progressively responsible work history in non-profit event planning and volunteer coordination. A proven record in revenue generation with respect to special events is required. Effective organizational, teamwork and interpersonal skills are needed. Competitive wage and benefits package.
