Executive Assistant

This is a full time position based in Phoenix, AZ


The Executive Assistant is a professional level administrative support position within a non-profit health and social service organization. The position will perform a variety of highly responsible and complex administrative and secretarial tasks in support of the Desert Southwest Chapter’s vision, mission, and goals in Arizona and Southern Nevada. The Executive Assistant will assist the Executive Director in providing support for the Chapter’s governing board and its committees. He/she will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining Chapter records and operational contracts, assisting the Executive Director with human resource functions, providing clerical and operational support, and serving as a member of the management team. The position involves significant teamwork and collaborative efforts with staff, volunteers, and diverse community members.

Preferred qualifications include: Progressively responsible work history as an executive secretary/ administrative assistant. Bachelor’s degree in business or associate degree in secretarial science or related formal education. Extensive computer and office skills. Effective written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to encourage team work needed.

Full time (40 hours / week) professional level exempt position

Family Care Consultant / Program Coordinator

This is a full time position based in Las Vegas, NV


As part of the Southern Nevada program team, provide case management and other services for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias and their families, in keeping with the Desert Southwest Chapter’s vision, mission, and goals. Conduct outreach and coordinate program activities. This position requires significant teamwork and collaborative efforts with staff, volunteers, and aging/social services organizations throughout Southern Nevada.

A master’s level social service professional with dementia-specific experience is preferred. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field with at least three years of related experience is required. Multicultural competency and the ability to work with diverse communities are essential. Bilingual Spanish-English skills are strongly preferred. Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills are needed.

Southern Nevada Regional Office Manager

This is a full time position based in Las Vegas, Nevada


Perform a variety of highly responsible administrative and secretarial tasks to help achieve the Desert Southwest Chapter's vision, mission, and goals for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and their families in the Southern Nevada Region. This position involves significant teamwork and collaboration with the small professional staff team, volunteers, and diverse community members.

Primary duties of this position include general office management, serving as office receptionist, maintaining databases for region, providing support assistance for government and other grants, processing contributions and invoices, acknowledging donations, assisting with fund development activities and special events, working with volunteers, and supporting programs and services.

Preferred qualifications include: Progressively responsible work history in administrative roles and related education. Effective written and oral communication skills. Effective customer service skills and ability to work with diverse people. Extensive computer skills and knowledge of office equipment and procedures. Experience working with older adults and volunteers helpful.
