Banner Alzheimer’s Institute (BAI), located in Phoenix, is a leading national and international resource for Alzheimer’s disease (AD) prevention and care. We offer a compassionate Center of Excellence for anyone affected by Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or a related memory disorder. Upon their first encounter with BAI, patients and families are welcomed into our family-like environment and are supported with innovative approaches to medical treatment, an array of helpful family and community services and rewarding clinical study opportunities.

At Banner Alzheimer's Institute, our vision can be summed up in three strategically focused and ambitious - but highly achievable - goals:

• Ending Alzheimer's Disease without losing another generation
• Establishing a new standard of care for patients and families
• Forging a model of collaboration in biomedical research

Our promise is to let the world know that hope and help are now possible with Alzheimer’s disease, and we are proud to launch the era of Alzheimer’s prevention research.

Under the leadership of Dr. Eric Reiman and Dr. Pierre Tariot, from the Banner Alzheimer's Institute, in collaboration with the Arizona Alzheimer's Consortium and other academic, scientific and industry partners around the world, the Alzheimer's Prevention Initiative (API) is being launched to conduct pre-symptomatic treatment trials with people at high imminent risk for developing symptomatic dementia due to Alzheimer's disease. With this pioneering collaborative research in early identification of Alzheimer’s disease, our goal is to offer innovative approaches to new treatment and prevention therapies in the shortest time possible. To receive updates about the Alzheimer's Prevention Initiative as new information becomes available, please go to www.ADprevention.org to join our mailing list.
