2013 Voice the Vision Rally

VOICE the VISION Rally is a high energy event that took place in March of 2013. The Alzheimer's Association partnered with KGAN CBS 2 and KFXA FOX 28 to educate Eastern Iowans about Alzheimer’s disease and the Alzheimer’s Association as the leading source of help and hope.  More than 50 participants spent 1 hour on the phone bank at the television studios calling family, friends, colleagues, etc., asking them to pledge their support of our cause.  To date the event has raised upwards of $20,000! Proceeds raised allow the chapter to fund vital research and care and support to those affected right here in our community.

Alzheimer’s disease is the 6th leading cause of death in the country and already the 5th leading cause of death in Iowa. To date, there is no cure or prevention.  In order to meet the growing needs of those in our community, we must raise funds in order to provide care and support services and continue funding the research needed to find a cure or prevention.
