(Cedar Rapids, December 22, 2008) – The Alzheimer’s Association East Central Iowa Chapter will be offering a 6-hour Foundations of Dementia Care training on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 in Cedar Rapids. Care professionals are encouraged to register new employees or those in need of continuing education. The 6-hour training meets state requirements for mandatory education.
With more than 50 percent of all long-term care residents having some form of dementia these trainings are essential for long-term care professionals to attend.
