Planned Giving
Our programs and services are made possible through the generosity and commitment of people like you. Consider leaving a legacy of support by making a planned gift to the Alzheimer's Association that allows you to combine your charitable giving goals with your estate and financial planning goals.
The Alzheimer's Association offers you a variety of planned giving arrangements, including charitable gift annuities, trusts and bequests.
- Charitable Gift Annuities
The Alzheimer's Association offers charitable gift annuities, which are simple contracts between a donor and a charity (such as the Alzheimer's Association), to pay the donor a fixed amount, usually quarterly, for the rest of his or her life, in exchange for an initial gift of $5,000 or more.Gift annuities are easy to establish and offer a tax deduction at the time of the initial gift. In addition, a portion of the lifetime payments made to the annuitant may be tax-free. Gift annuities may be established for one or two annuitants and may be funded with cash or appreciated stock.

Bequests
A bequest is to name the Alzheimer's Association East Central Iowa Chapter in your will. You do not need to rewrite your will, a simple amendment (codicil) will do. The essential language to be included in your will or codicil may read:"I give, devise, and bequeath (indicate amount, percentage of estate, remainder or specific property) to the Alzheimer's Association East Central Iowa Chapter, Federal Exemption Number: 42-1333384."
The Founder's Society

- Special mailings about the Association and the disease, including updates and research advances in the fight against Alzheimer's disease.
- Notices of meetings and other Alzheimer's Association events.
- When substantial estate planning and tax issues arise, we will provide you with information about those changes and how they affect you.
By informing us of your plan, you will automatically be enrolled in this prestigious society.
Memorial and Tribute Giving
