Celebrate your own independence

Maintaining your independence if you have Alzheimer's disease is important. Doing so for as long as possible can be beneficial to your quality of life and self-esteem. Though there may come a time when you can't live on your own, you can remain independent during the early stages of Alzheimer's by making simple adjustments, taking safety precautions and relying on the support of others.
