Support Group Facilitator Training

Support group facilitators volunteer to lead or co-lead a family support group.  The support group facilitator helps to guide group interaction focused on acceptance, active listening, empathy and assistance with problem solving. 
The workshop prepares you to lead support groups and help others navigate through Alzheimer's disease.  You will be trained by our professionals. 
When:   Wednesday, March 9
Where:  Alzheimer’s Association - Greater Michigan Chapter
               25200 Telegraph Road, Suite 100, Southfield
Time:     10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Fee:       $40 per person and a light lunch is provided

Support Group Facilitator Refresher Training

This training is designed to meet other facilitators and exchange ideas in regards to your support group. You must have taken the facilitator training course before registering for the refresher training.

If you have volunteered in the past or would like to get involved for the first time, we welcome you! Our volunteers answer the phones, input/data processing, help at our special events throughout the year and many other critical functions.  By devoting a couple of hours a week or a month you would be part of our team of caring and passionate people making a difference.
