About Memory Walk

The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® is our national signature event and brings together family, friends, caregivers and concerned community members — who all want to make a difference. Since 1989, Memory Walk has raised more than $200 million to help those battling Alzheimer's disease. This year more than 200,000 people across the nation will be on the MOVE. Walker news

This year the Greater Dallas Chapter has set its most agressive goal ever for Memory Walk.  We had to, because every 70 seconds someone in America develops Alzheimer's disease and it is currently the 6th leading cause of death in the United States!  We need your help to reach our goal of nearly $600,000.

Your support will help us advance the information that the public receives about Alzheimer's disease and the need for early diagnosis.  It will help us provide support to more than 50,000 North Texas families dealing with Alzheimer's disease. It will help fund reasearch to find disease altering drugs, and ulimately a cure.

The Dallas Chapter is growing the services it provides to those suffering from Alzheimer's and those who have the enormous job of caring for those affected.  We have opened offices in Collin, Denton, Ellis, Grayson and Navarro Counties, and we hope to open an office in Tyler this fiscal year.  These offices allow us to serve more people, generate more support and bring more visibility to Alzheimer's disease.
