About Professional Training
The Alzheimer's Association is committed to helping professionals improve their knowledge and skills, build stronger teams and deliver better care to people with dementia and their families. Training and education programs are geared to professionals working in both community-based and residential care settings. Our programs and meetings have been attended by activity professionals, administrators, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers, CNAs and staff trainers. Many of our caregiver conferences also offer CEUs.

Dementia Education: A Train-the-Trainer Approach

The Alzheimer’s Association and LeadingAge Iowa are pleased to collaborate once again to offer an exclusive, interactive and dynamic program: Dementia Education – A Train-the-Trainer Approach.
The purpose of this train-the-trainer program is to offer education based on the curriculum module created by the Iowa Dementia Education Task Force recommendations and exceeds the CMS 6-hour program “Hand-to-Hand”.
